For archival and sentimental purposes I am not going to delete this blog, its better that way I think.

Random Thoughts-Scene 1
Imagine yourself sitting comfortably somewhere private, remote and nature laden like an oceanic view. The soft glare of the early morning sun warming your skin and the gently, intoxicating sea breeze sweeping all around you like an after thought. Now you are staring into the vastness of the ocean and instantly feel minute and insignificant to the world around you and the feeling of discordance and meaningless comes to mind as you keep on staring. Amidst all this you come to a glaring conclusion that no matter how insignificant you may be, you are in awe of the life and the world around you and no matter what the cost you must have the will to carry on and see what the future holds for you when you snap back into civilization. Remember that you are far away from the bustling city life. The urban jungle is but a memory now. You are almost in trance, save that you still feel the comfort of you sitting somewhere remote and alone with some drink in hand, preferrably a can of ice cold beer. Then reality kicks in... Imagine an ugly boot forever stomping on your head on the pavement of the future.

The Week in a bun
I have'nt been idling really for this past week, the usual suspects such as work and personal stuff that needed to be done all added up to my time as usual and made me not have some time to post something. Anyways, that doesn't sound like a good reason for the absence of post here. Nuff said.
During those times, other than the usual, me and my wife last Friday went on an island hopping trip via Alona, Bohol. Sorta like a romantic get up and stuff courtesy of my attorney bro as a gift of sorts. We went dolphin watching and Balicasag fish sanctuary snorkeling. We stayed at some resort which was way out of our price range and we have to find some reasonably priced place to eat out, luckily there were some but still steeply, however. The fish sanctuary I think was the highly of all the trips, unfortunately we were unable to do underwater photo shots with our meager camera. It was like swimming inside a huge marine aquarium. Lots of thriving colorful fishes in them coral communities. I even got the chance to feed them which was awesomer, them fishes nibbling at me hands. Dolphin watching was kinda like hide-and-seek though but lucky for us we had many moments where them elusive dolphin pack (are dolphins in a collective called packs?)would show their fins or even glide near our boat. It was a relaxing and unique experience for us city dwellers.
The Thursday before that me and a friend of mine recorded at the House of Indies recording studio(@ Mango Avenue, Cebu)a couple of industrial laden songs that were originally composed and released ages ago by the infamous Sodom and the Gahd Machine, a local avant garde-industrial laden progenitors of the Cebu local scene. It was our rendition their songs, "Then You'll Die" and "Christianity Syndrome". A tribute to the progenitors of this brand of music, Industrial Metal (from Wikipedia: a musical genre that draws from industrial music and heavy metal. It is usually centered around repeating metal guitar riffs, sampling, synthesizer or sequencer lines, and distorted vocals.Founding industrial metal groups include Ministry,Godflesh, and KMFDM)). An homage even. We haven't got a name to our outfit yet so I can't download the songs here or on Myspace music just yet, maybe these coming days when we finalize things, planning on making an E.P. as soon as we record some original material which my friend will be cooking up. I am actually just a hired hand, my friend, we'll all just call him ECPFlesh for reasons undisclosed just yet, does everything else except for the bass parts which is what I'm asked to do. It was his idea in the first place. I have my own industrial laden tunes but are put on hold as usual, uhmmm..heheh...nuff said.

Attacked by the Dreaded Bugs
Im really pissed off this past week because of one recurring house problem: BUG INFESTATION!!!.
I really thought we already rid of ourselves of these pest months before. Kissing Bugs or Assassin Bugs are a pain in the butt or pain in any part of the body for that matter. I don't know where they come from, they just attacked my sister's bedroom. She got an allergic reaction to its bite like swelling on the affected part to a point that she can't even move her arm. At first we thought it was just cockroach bites but we found this weird looking creature under her bed which I whacked with my slippers on instinct and then came splat!! Blood and guts of the thing spread out on the floor and I realized that it wasn't its blood but blood meal. F@#$ gross. I googled any info I could get about these critters and found out that they were the one's responsible for my sisters' agony and we immediately made sure to track and kill every last one we could find by insecticide and death by slipper whack. That was before and now they've comeback somehow and from who knows what origin and the funny thing is that my sister is long gone to some foreign land and her bedroom is empty and you know what, the f@#$ decided to infest my measly bedroom now. The moment I began to have welts and bite marks, dread finally caught up with me and only one critter responsible came up to my mind, the freaking Assassin Bugs are back with a vengeance. Paranoid that I was, I immediately checked under my bed and what do you know, the f@##s were there hiding, bloated and hiding for crying out loud! Caught and killed seven! geeez, seven of them in less than a damn week. Everytime I sleep I get paranoid that somehow I know that they are waiting patiently in cracks and crevices awaiting my deep slumber for them to attack and suck the life outta me! From what I have googled, they are a deadly pest to some parts of the Americas and carry deadly diseases. So far, nothing came up on articles about them in the Philippines though. Maybe one of you has a damn solution about this and help me get rid of them shits altogether. I periodically check under the bed now and shit.

The La Parola
Hey, its been a while (yeah, what else is new!). Today we had an oppurtulity to do a little on site pre-nup photoshoot with me and my gurl here with the help of the expertise of iStudio Photo Services (all the way from Valencia, Bukidnon). Don't get me wrong here but I'm not the dramatic romantic dweeb effect kinda guy with me having a metal band and all and donning black shirts all the time and mostly favor the darker side of life (heheheh), I did this at my partners persistent request and much to my amazement, I yielded to her whims. Actually, just between you and me, its always 99% of the time, shhhhhhh. What the hey, its always a first time for anything, right?!. We did it hastily at La Parola, Liloan, Cebu based on a friends suggestion to do it there because of the unique view plus I like lighthouses. It was all in all a first hand experience doing all the drama of doing a little photoshoot. Here's a quick pick of the La Parola and by the way, it is taken from my meager point and shoot camera that I happen to have at the moment and not the expensive and elaborate ones' that the iStudio team was using during the event. Mebe I'll post the ones' they did when I get hold of the file copy. Soon enuf.

The Watchmen is Coming
I am also excited when a movie adaptation of a comicbook series or character comes along like them Batman, Xmen, Spiderman and Hulk franchises and some one shots like 300 and V for Vendeta or the Crow even. And from watching this Watchmen trailer awhile ago it gave me goosebumps all over. Wow, so true to the comic book and so cool was it even this early on I can say that it will be a winner. Im looking forward to it, although its still on 2009, good things come to those who wait, as they say. A classic just like its original comicbook version. Hope so. Watch it and tell me what you think. If anyone one wants an ebook version of the comicbook to go read and enjoy, I can gladly pinpoint you with the appropriate download links (is this legal?!!). Hehehe...
